16 Feet of Snow and Counting
It will continue to be stormy today and more snow will pile up in the Pacific Northwest mountains. So far this season, Stampede Pass, Washington has received 15 feet (180 inches) of snow.
But some ski resorts report even more... Crystal Mountain reports 199" (16.58 feet) so far this season (their average total for a season is 350 inches).
But the record snowfall for a season was set at Mount Baker, Washington in 1998-99 when 1,140 inches (95 feet) fell.
