Parts of Qatar see a year's worth of rainfall in just hours!
Locations in Qatar, including Doha, have seen around a year's worth of rainfall in the past week with some locations seeing it fall within a single day.

Yearly rainfall in Doha is around 75 mm (3 inches) and the suburb of Abu Hamor reported 84 mm (3.31 inches) in less 6 hours.
During the heaviest rainfall, 61 mm (2.40 inches) fell in only 70 minutes.
The Doha area has seen 4 days with thunderstorms in the area in the past week. This is a crazy stat considering in a normal year, Doha only records precipitation an average of 9 days.
As can be expected, this magnitude of rainfall caused severe flooding across the country, especially in Doha where roads were closed and flights were diverted due to the severe weather.
In fact rainfall was so heavy on Saturday that it became the wettest October day on record for the country.
The rainfall also resulted in school and business closures due to the significant flooding.
A change back to more typical dry weather is expected to begin on Tuesday.
