Solar Prominence Eruption
Hello, astro-nuts!
Thought you might be interested in a cool SOHO movie of a solar prominence that erupted around 5am EST. A coronal mass ejection was produced but it is not on a direct course for Earth.
Also, I just saw some notes about small asteroid 2010 GM23 passing within about 820,600 miles of our planet at around 10:30pm EST Monday evening. It was discovered on April 8th by the Catalina Sky Survey. Orbit information is provided by JPL on their Small Body Database website.
