Long-range pattern clues through June

Persistent ridging is expected across portions of northeastern Canada during June, which would favor warm and drier conditions compared to normal.
I do not see any periods of persistent heat across the northern United States or southern Canada over the next few weeks as a more zonal west to easterly flow likely dominates with plenty of up and downs in terms of temperature with brief periods of rain or thunderstorm activity.
Have to watch for potential tropical activity in the Gulf of Mexico into the first eight days of June.
