Clues to the weather pattern into mid-July
By Brett Anderson, AccuWeather senior meteorologist
Published Jun 17, 2020 1:35 PM EDT
A cooler pattern compared to normal is shaping up across the eastern third of the country for the final week of June. However, there are increasing signals that we will see an expanding area of very warm to hot air spreading from the interior western United States into the Prairies, Plains and East for the first half of July.
Typically along the northern edges of the heat, there can be an increase in rainfall due to rounds of heavy thunderstorms.
No real signs of sustained heat for British Columbia at this point with Pacific air dominating.
