Rain in the Northeast Corridor tonight. Could snow be next?

The cold front moving across Ohio is preceded by a southerly flow of mild air and followed by a rush of cold air.

The rain crossing the Gulf states will likely affect areas from the Carolinas on south later this week as a cold front from the north stalls.

5. Whereas the map above suggests some snow will fall from Maryland to Maine, other models suggest all the precipitation will be farther south and east. Until the system takes shape and we see more details about support aloft, the snow is just potential... which we don't have to shovel.
