Cold, dry air follows recent storm
Gusty west to northwest winds are driving cold air eastward from the Midwest. However, a fast-moving storm will cross the Plains and headed to the Great Lakes tomorrow and Friday. This storm will not have a lot of moisture with it, but there will be a noticeable warm up in the Ohio Valley tomorrow and the Northeast on Friday. Cold air will return behind that storm to chill the weekend in the northeast quarter of the country. Models show a series of storms coming in from the Pacific, crossing the country and bringing precipitation to the Eastern Seaboard. The storms will vary in track and strength, but the area from the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes will almost surely get more wintry precipitation.
