As a large high pressure area along the New England coast expands southward, drier air is cutting into the extensive cloud cover that has draped the Middle Atlantic states. The erosion of clouds should continue, as suggested in today's video:
The clouds over parts of the region are starting to break up, a sign that the predicted drier air from the northeast is making progress.
