Tropical Rainstorm Edouard still has a pulse and continues to bring showers and thunderstorms mainly over northeastern Texas. The storm has begun a southward drift, which will bring it closer to the Gulf where it can tap moisture and continue producing showers and thunderstorms in the Houston area.
Some of the downpours will be heavy enough to lead to localized flash flooding and travel delays into Friday evening.
During the weekend, Edouard is forecast to become more diffuse as it continues drifting into South Texas with spotty showers and thunderstorms.
