Late-week storm to bring accumulating snow As the last Alberta clipper storm in the series rolls through during Friday afternoon and Friday night, a fresh injection of cold air into the Hudson Valley will pave the way for a snowstorm in the New York City metro area. At this time, it appears enough snow to shovel and plow will occur with the chance of a moderate to heavy snowfall, especially north and west of the city. Expect delays on the streets, highways and the airports due to plowing and deicing operations. Flight cancellations are possible.
