Van Buren County in southwestern Michigan...
Kalamazoo County in southwestern Michigan...
* Until 100 PM EDT Tuesday
* At 1036 AM EDT, flooding continues across portions of Van Buren
and Kalamazoo Counties. Multiple roads remain closed in both
counties with rivers still yet to crest in some areas. Crests are
working down the rivers and should be through most areas by
Tuesday morning. 6 to 9 inches of rain fell in some areas of Van
Buren and Kalamazoo Counties though and it may take some time for
low spots and poor drainage areas to see the water recede. We are
looking at a dry work week though which will help conditions
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Heavy rainfall from over the weekend caused flooding of small creeks
and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.
