Moderate avalanche danger for region Nordenskiöld Land 2025-05-01 On Thursday we expect moderate avalanche danger for region Nordenskiöld Land. Avalanche problem is wind drifted snow (slab avalanches) and persistent weak layer (slab avalanches). Travelling in avalanche terrain requires knowledge, experience in route finding and ability to identify the avalanche problem. Generally, it is recommended to avoid terrain steeper than 30 degrees in order to not release an avalanche.
