When: Tuesday evening through Wednesday afternoon. Hazards: Ice pellets, snow or wet snow, temperatures near or below zero (near or below freezing), moderate to strong winds generating wind chill values of -5 to -10. Impacts: Difficult travel and outdoor recreation conditions. Description: A dramatic drop in temperatures begins Tuesday as moderate to strong northerly winds off the Beaufort Sea brings a mix of wintry weather to the northern Yukon. Temperatures will plummet from recent near-record warmth to near-record cold (near or below zero) Tuesday night. Precipitation will start as rain and change over to or become mixed with ice pellets and/or snow.
