River levels remain high but are falling today 14 December 2025. Flooding is possible. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent to the river from the Welsh border at Llawnt to Shrawardine near Shrewsbury. Other locations that may be affected include Llanymynech, Maesbrook and Melverley. Roads between Maesbrook, Melverley and Pentre start to flood. Peaks - Llanymynech peaked at 4.60m on Tuesday, Cae Howel peaked at 5.29m on 11/12. We are closely monitoring the situation. Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water. This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 15 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
