River levels remain above flood alert thresholds but are falling slowly. Consequently the risk of flooding remains. Flooding may affect low-lying land and roads adjacent to the River Sow between Great Bridgeford and Shugborough, the River Penk between Coven and Stafford, the Sandyford Brook, the Rising Brook, the Ridings Brook and the Saredon Brook. We expect river levels to remain above flood alert thresholds into Tuesday, 23/12/25. We are closely monitoring the situation . Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water.
