A low pressure system tracking across the northern Prairies will spread heavy snow into the southern Kivalliq today. Moderate southeasterly winds will accompany the falling snow giving reduced visibilities in blowing snow. The snow will taper off this evening, however, gusty northwesterly winds on the back side of this system may continue to give reduced visibilities in blowing snow into early next week. ### Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
