Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A combination of the remnant monsoon surge and Tropical Depression 19W, well northwest of Yap Island, are producing a long-period southwest swell of 7 to 8 ft capable of high surf and dangerous rip currents along west-facing reefs. Conditions may begin to subside Monday night, so conditions will continue to be monitored. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents will be life threatening.
