River levels remain high due to recent rainfall and the risk of flooding continues. Flooding is possible on 11 December 2025 and may continue over the next few days. Flooding may affect low lying land and roads adjacent the river from Shrewsbury to Upper Arley. Locations that may be affected are White Abbey, Coalbrookdale, Ironbridge and Bridgnorth. River Severn bankfull at White Abbey, floodplain may be filling at Hayes Basin. Peaks:- Montford 5.63m overnight Wednesday 10/12, Welsh Bridge 3.2m to 3.4m 11/12 PM, Buildwas 4.3m to 4.5m 12/12 AM, Bridgnorth 3.6m to 3.8m 12/12 AM. We are closely monitoring the situation .
