Rising river levels throughout the evening may lead to flooding. Flooding is possible on 18 December 2025 from this evening. Locations most affected will be low lying land and towpaths close to the River Medway, at Yalding, Wateringbury and East Farleigh but particularly at Lockmeadow and the underpasses at Maidstone Town Centre. These areas will be effected this evening and overnight into tomorrow morning. We are closely monitoring the situation . Take care and avoid walking, cycling or driving through flood water . This message will be updated by 10:00AM on 19 December 2025 or as the situation changes.
