A ridge of high pressure continues to build over the Prairies. With this, a very warm airmass will produce daytime high temperatures near 30 degrees today and Tuesday. Temperatures are expected to cool off mid week.
This warning may be expanded further as the ridge strengthens.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
