South to southwesterly winds will increase during the afternoon, peaking during the evening with gusts of 50-60 mph in many areas, and potentially in excess of 70 mph in more exposed places, especially along parts of the north coast. Winds will ease somewhat through Saturday morning, but it will remain fairly windy through the rest of the day, with gusts of 60-70 mph still possible along the north coast and more generally 45-55 mph inland.
