...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM CHST FRIDAY... * WHAT...Large breaking waves of 6 to 8 feet. * WHERE...East facing reefs of Kosrae. * WHEN...Until 3 PM ChST Friday. * IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and localized beach erosion. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...East to northeast trade swell is generating hazardous surf along east-facing reefs, and will continue through late this week. Additional sets of northerly swell late week and over the weekend may prolong the advisory along east-facing reefs and possibly bring hazardous surf along north-facing reefs as well.
