Rain to Barely Brush Boston Friday

By By Alex Sosnowski, expert senior meteorologist.

Dry weather will generally prevail around the Boston area through the weekend. However, a sputtering nor'easter will attempt to brush the area with a bit of rain Friday.

High pressure is forecast to hover over northern New England through the weekend, where it will bring at least partial sunshine and close to seasonable temperatures.

Through Friday, a storm will creep northward along the mid-Atlantic coast with clouds and rain.

It is possible this system manages to come far enough northward to brush Massachusetts with a bit of rain.
