After a week of below-normal temperatures, a warming up is on the way for Los Angeles and surrounding suburbs this week.
It was seasonably cool this weekend and some spots in Southern California had a light shower roll through as a weak weather disturbance trekked across the region.
Temperatures are forecast to warm up from the upper 70s to start the new week to near 90 F by week's end underneath plenty of afternoon sunshine.
Despite the rising temperatures, an onshore flow will remain in place through the week. There will be more in the way of morning fog rather than the low-hanging clouds along the coastal plain as the week progresses. Decreased visibility from the fog and low clouds could result in minor travel delays.
If you still have World Cup fever, the LA Galaxy soccer team will face-off against Manchester United's Primer league at 7:30 p.m. PDT on Wednesday. The match will see clear skies with temperatures falling into the upper 60s.
