A routine wedding photo shoot in Saskatchewan, Canada, received a memorable addition from Mother Nature, a tornado, over the weekend.
Professional Photographer Colleen Niska was snapping pictures of the newlyweds embracing when a tornado formed in the background.
The photos quickly became a viral sensation on her Facebook page as the pictures gained more than 17,000 shares and 25,000 likes as of Tuesday morning.
"I've dreamed about a day like this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" she said on her Facebook page. "Pretty sure this will only happen once in my lifetime!"
AccuWeather.com Canada Weather Expert Brett Anderson said that there were several confirmed tornado touchdowns across the southern part of the province on Saturday.
He added that a majority of sightings were reported in the Kenaston, Outlook and Regina Beach areas.
"On Saturday, an approaching disturbance clashed with very warm and humid air across the region, which initiated the thunderstorms," Anderson said. "Strong, shifting winds aloft provided the energy for the formation of tornadoes."
Anderson said that tornadoes are not that uncommon across the Canadian Prairies, especially during the summer months.
"This region of Saskatchewan averages anywhere from two to five tornadoes a year," he said.
