Needed Midweek Rain in San Francisco, Sun to Follow

Needed rain will make its way to San Francisco midweek, then sunshine will return to the city for the late week and weekend.

With the Bay Area in the grip of severe drought conditions, a few rounds of rain occurred Wednesday, the first measurable rain at San Francisco International Airport in almost two months.

While the rain will not alleviate the drought, it can be enough to put a damper on outdoor events.

High temperatures through midweek will be around 60 degrees.

Expect a mix of clouds and sunshine on Thursday with temperatures in the low 60s.

Bright sunshine will takeover the skies on Friday and will remain through the weekend.

Sunny skies and temperatures in the low 60s will make for a great weekend for outdoor activities in San Francisco.
