Tall ships have sailed into Baltimore Harbor marking the start of the bicentennial celebration of the War of 1812 and the eventual victory of the United States over Great Britain.

A week-long schedule of events is going on in Baltimore and will be highlighted by spectacular weather not only in the city, but throughout much of the mid-Atlantic and New England through the Father's Day weekend.

Most days, the area will bask in strong June sunshine with afternoon high temperatures in the 80s.

Humidity levels are forecast to remain low through the end of this week but will begin to drift up toward midsummer levels by the end of the weekend.

Most days will feature a breeze from the east and northeast around 6 to 12 mph for sailing activities and providing some refreshment for folks strolling along the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Fort McHenry.

People taking in the air show this weekend should not have any troubles from Mother Nature.
