A snowstorm will brush the Cleveland area Tuesday into Wednesday, and lake-effect snow following the storm later Wednesday into early Thursday will hit eastern suburbs hard.
The storm that brought a wintry mess to Oklahoma City and Dallas over the weekend will turn toward the Northeast on Tuesday.
A coating to an inch or two of snow will fall on the storm's back edge around Cleveland. Much heavier snow will fall farther east during the storm and during lake-effect that follows, posing hazards and disruptions to Thanksgiving travelers..
The lake-effect snow should wind down by Thanksgiving Day, giving way to a brisk Thursday underneath a mixture of clouds and sunshine.
There are no signs of the drought ending in Italy in the foreseeable future.
