A jetliner crashed Sunday in Russia, where it's believed that all 50 people aboard were killed.
The Associated Press cited Russian news reports that the Boeing 737 crashed as it was landing in the city of Kazan, about 450 miles east of Moscow.
The ITAR-Tass news agency reported that the airliner lost altitude, collapsed on the runway and its fuel tanks exploded.
It's not known why the plane crashed.
The weather at the time of the crash (7:20 p.m. local time) was 37 degrees F, or 2.8 C, with cloudy skies and light rain, AccuWeather.com Senior Meteorologist Alan Reppert said.
