A shower or two will move through Seattle on Monday, but as cold air arrives later in the day, some wet snowflakes could mix with that rain.

Temperatures much of the day will be in the 40s before falling into the upper 30s by evening.

Any snow that falls will melt on contact and surfaces will remain wet.

An arctic air mass will settle over the Pacific Northwest as the week progresses and temperatures in Seattle will be well below average.

High temperatures on Tuesday through Friday will only be in the middle 30s, while the average high is 46 to 47 degrees.

Nighttime low temperatures during the middle and latter portions of the week will be in the 20s.
