Pittsburgh: No Signs of Lasting Warmth Just Yet

By By Alex Sosnowski, senior meteorologist.
    April 26, 2014, 10:54:07 PM EDT

The weather pattern into this weekend will bring temperatures fairly typical for this time of the year around Pittsburgh.

Temperatures typically range from a morning low in the lower 40s to a high in the middle 60s.

"We will see temperatures get back into the 70s Friday," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

The next chance of rainfall is Friday into Saturday, as a system moves in from the Midwest. Friday will be the wetter of the two days with only spotty showers forecast for Sunday.

No rain is in the offing on Sunday.

Looking ahead, for folks with outdoor plans next week, the weather pattern has the potential to get very unsettled with a daily dose of showers and/or thunderstorms.

A day or two of rain is also possible as a large storm develops over the eastern third of the nation and stalls. The pattern may also result in a several-day stretch of below-normal temperatures.

It may not be until this large storm breaks down during early May, when warmth is a frequent visitor to the region.
