Photos: Tornadoes cause damage in Connecticut, Massachusetts on Saturday

Amid the final round of downpours streaming across the northeastern United States, two tornadoes caused damage in northeastern Connecticut and eastern Massachusetts on Saturday morning.
The tornadic thunderstorm tracked from northeastern Connecticut into eastern Massachusetts, southwest of Boston.
The storm initially downed trees in parts of Woodstock, Connecticut, on Saturday morning, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) office in Boston.
Significant damage was then reported in Dudley and Webster, Massachusetts.

Most of the outages are in Webster & Dudley with 3.,438 in Webster
Preliminary results from the National Weather Service in Boston confirmed an EF-0 tornado with maximum winds of 80 mph touched down in Windham County, Connecticut. An EF-1 tornado with winds up to 110 mph struck Worcester County, Massachusetts.
NWS employees will continue to survey the damage of both tornadoes on Monday.
Thunderstorms have now left the area. A turn to hotter and drier weather will follow for Sunday.

Disruptions to weekend plans, travel hazards and isolated flash flooding were widespread, but the rain is beneficial to the parts of northern New England in the midst of a moderate drought.
