NYC to Stay Rainy, Dreary Through Rest of Weekend

By By Kristina Pydynowski, senior meteorologist
    March 31, 2014, 1:52:51 AM EDT

Snow will not return to New York City this weekend, but the weather will be less than desirable for those with outdoor plans.

While the steadiest rain will shift to the north, Sunday is shaping up to be a dreary day with occasional rain and drizzle.

A high of near 50 F is expected, but a breeze will hold AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures to the 40s. The breeze may also make it difficult to walk with an umbrella.

The rain will continue at times through Monday as the storm system delivering the wet weather will be slow to clear the Northeast. However, residents and visitors should notice a general drying trend as Monday progresses.

Umbrellas and rain gear can finally be left at home on Tuesday and Wednesday with high pressure in control.

Some may even opt not to wear a jacket each of these afternoon with temperatures approaching or reaching 60 F.
