To kick off the Easter holiday weekend, many across the United States had their eyes turned to the sky, looking for the lunar eclipse known as a "blood moon".
Early on Saturday morning, April 4, the Earth stood in the path of the sun's rays reaching the Moon, leaving it covered in a magnificent orange-red.
While too many clouds were in the sky for many across the East to see this eclipse, a few were able to find a clear spot to view this beauty.
Some of the most spectacular views came from NASA's feed of the Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, California, where skies were clear.
The United States wasn't the only place in the world where this lunar eclipse was visible. Even the residents of Canada, India and Australia were able to view the "blood moon".
