Following two weeks of chilly weather, change is coming to Germany this week as mild air from the Mediterranean returns.
A storm track across the British Isles and high pressure over southern Europe will combine to funnel milder air from Spain and southern France northeastward across Germany.
The chill will begin to relax on Tuesday as a warm front crosses the country from southwest to northeast with a period of rain.
Temperatures will climb to or above 10 C (50 F) in parts of northwestern Germany while the coldest conditions will remain across the far east where highs will climb to only around 5 C (41 F).
Normal high temperatures in late November are 5-7 C (41-44 F) across Germany.
Aside from a few brief showers across northern Germany on Wednesday, dry weather will prevail across Germany as milder air continues to filter across the country.
Temperatures will reach or exceed 10 C (50 F) throughout the country with some locations in the south and west reaching a high of 13 C (55 F).
This largely dry and mild weather will continue on Thursday with the only chance for a brief shower being limited to the far northwest.
High temperatures will range from 12-14 C (54-58 F) across most of the country with a few of the warmest locations topping out at 16 C (60 F).
A cold front will approach on Friday, but it will remain unseasonably warm ahead of the front.
In most locations, the dry weather will hold for one more day with only a chance for a shower or two in northern and western areas.
Highs temperatures will range between 10 and 12 C (50 and 54 F) before lowering each day of the weekend.
By Sunday, temperatures will climb to between only 6 and 9 C (42 and 48 F) with gusty winds making it feel even colder.
