Detroit: Summerlike Warmth, Storms Return This Week

By By AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Mike Doll
    June 16, 2014, 3:06:32 AM EDT

Warmer and more humid air will move back into the Motor City this week and help fuel showers and thunderstorms.

Temperatures recently have been rather comfortable, reaching the 70s during the afternoon, but much of this week will feature high temperatures in the middle and upper 80s.

A system will bring showers and thunderstorms to the area on Monday.

There can be episodes of rain and thunderstorms Tuesday through Thursday as disturbances move over the Great Lakes.
