Detroit: More Wintry Cold, Snow on the Way

While the official spring season has begun, wintry cold and snow makes a comeback in Detroit.

This winter, the city received 90.7 inches of snow.

Near record-breaking low temperatures are possible Monday and Tuesday nights.

The city's next chance for some snow will come on late Monday night into Tuesday as a storm travels along the northern branch of the jet stream. This same storm could reorganize and strengthen farther east to bring snow from the Carolinas to New England.

Depending on the snow's timing, it could make slick travel for Detroit motorists.

After Tuesday, there is a chance of rain on Thursday, but temperatures will be on the increase with a high in the upper 40s.
