    Detroit: Showers in the Offing for Mother's Day Weekend

    Clouds, rain and thunderstorms will plague the Detroit area for the end of week.

    Although storms will subside for the start of the weekend, Saturday, mainly cloudy skies and rain will dampen early Mother's Day activities and celebrations.

    Mostly cloudy skies are in the forecast for Mother's Day on Sunday along with warm air, but considerable showers are possible throughout the day.

    Cloudy skies with rain and possibly thunderstorms will persist in the city through Tuesday but a brief break from stormy weather is likely to come on Wednesday.
