    Detroit: Cooler With Clear Skies Over the Weekend

    Cooler weather and clear skies will settle over Detroit after a bout of thunderstorms to make an ideal weekend for outdoor plans.

    After rounds of thunderstorms, humidity will subside considerably as temperatures drop into the weekend.

    A drastic change is in store with temperatures hovering in the high 80s late in the week then dropping to the low 70s into the weekend.

    Saturday morning could bring lingering showers after Friday's storms, but these should clear by the afternoon in time for weekend outdoor activities.

    Skies will remain calm and clear into the evening. Sunday will stay consistently sunny with minimal clouds in the sky. Temperatures will rise slightly into the mid-70s before before plateauing as this week kicks off.

    Overnight temperatures will range from the low to upper 60s over the course of the weekend.

    Fans looking to tailgate before Monday night's Detroit Lions home game against the New York Giants should see plenty of sunshine and clear skies leading up to the 6:10 p.m. CST kickoff.

    Daytime temperatures could rise into the upper 70s by Tuesday along with the chance of a thunderstorm. The rain should continue into midweek.
