    DC: Drenching Rain to Precede Sunny Weekend

    A system delivering severe weather over the Central states at midweek will bring rain and thunderstorms Wednesday night into Thursday around Washington, D.C.

    The rain overnight Wednesday into early Thursday has the potential to be heavy and disruptive, while severe weather is likely to swing well to the south of the region.


    In the wake of the rain into early Thursday, the stretch of days from Friday through Sunday will bring at least partial sunshine and a warming trend. High temperatures will range upward through the 80s.
