Cold Weather Will Not Last Long Around Philadelphia

By By Alex Sosnowski, expert senior meteorologist.
    November 13, 2013, 11:35:31 PM EST

After experiencing a freeze, gusty winds and RealFeel® temperatures in the 20s at midweek, temperatures will rebound to seasonable levels later this week around Philadelphia.

Many folks will be able to hang up the winter coat later in the week.

Highs are forecast to rebound into the 50s Thursday and Friday with at least partial sunshine and less wind. Nighttime low temperatures will swing above freezing.

By the weekend, afternoon temperatures may flirt with 60 degrees.

Despite the cold weather and even snowflakes flying around the area Tuesday, the next storm system will bring rain and not snow or ice.
