More snow and record-challenging temperatures are coming to Chicago.

Up to 3 inches of snow is possible through Sunday afternoon, ahead of another in the series of arctic blasts.

It will be dangerously cold Sunday night with a low temperature of minus 18 degrees, which would break the record of minus 14 that was set in 1988. With a west-northwest wind up to 25 mph, the AccuWeather RealFeel® temperature will be about minus 50 degrees.

Monday and Tuesday will stay below zero around the clock with a strong west wind up to 25 mph. This extreme cold will bring the threat of frostbite or other life-threatening injuries for anyone out in the cold.
