Atlanta Rain to Depart by Easter Sunday

By By Michael Kuhne, AccuWeather.Com Staff Writer

Atlanta will remain wet and dreary through Saturday, but the weather will improve for Easter Sunday.

On Friday, steady rainfall to the southeast of the city moved through. While the steadiest rain will depart into Saturday, a blanket of clouds and a bit of rain will keep Atlanta damp through the day.

Similar to Friday, temperatures to start Easter weekend will be held to the 50s. Gusty winds will continue to make being outside less than desirable.

By Sunday, temperatures will climb into the 70s for a dry end to the weekend as clouds mix with sunshine.

“Sunday looks to be the better day of the weekend,” Pindrock said.

Further warming will occur Monday and Tuesday with temperatures rising to the middle to upper 70s. The chance for a thunderstorm will also return Tuesday.
