North Dakota Oil Camp Tornado Injures Nine

Severe storms erupted across portions of North Dakota late on Monday night with one storm producing a tornado.

The tornado tore through an oil field camp just south of Watford City, North Dakota, ripping through trailers and oil field equipment. The trailers were used to house workers.

So far, nine injuries have been reported with one of them listed as critical, according to the Associated Press.

Emergency crews had a tough time getting to the job site after the tornado hit due to roadways being filled with debris.

The storms have since shifted southeast and are no longer a threat to the area.

There were several reports of hail from the storm earlier across northeastern Montana and far western North Dakota.
