Crude oil production to see economic impact, as Barry shuts down 73% of U.S. oil rigs

The U.S. Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement says Hurricane Barry cut 73% of all crude oil production in the U.S.-regulated areas of the Gulf of Mexico. According to Reuters, that's 1.38 million barrels per day of crude oil production. The BSEE also said a total of 283 production platforms, or 42%, remain shut in the Gulf of Mexico.
