...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM EST THIS
* WHAT...Mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations
of up to one inch and ice accumulations of around one tenth of
an inch expected.
* WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey and northeast
Pennsylvania. The greatest snow and ice accumulations should be
for elevations above 1000 feet in the Poconos and Sussex County
* WHEN...Rain changes to areas of freezing rain early this morning
and continues through the day, possibly mixing with sleet and
changing back to plain rain in some areas. Late day,
precipitation may mix with or change to a period of mostly snow
before winding down this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The
coldest conditions should be in the higher elevations, and
especially in the Poconos and Sussex County New Jersey. Ice
accumulations on trees and power lines could result in some
downed tree limbs and local power outages.
