    Flood Advisory

AZC025-241315- /O.NEW.KFGZ.FA.Y.0063.170824T1021Z-170824T1315Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Yavapai- 321 AM MST THU AUG 24 2017 The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a * Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for... Yavapai County in west central Arizona... * Until 615 AM MST * At 313 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated another round of heavy rain headed for the Cottonwood and Verde Village area. This combined with heavy rainfall earlier will cause additional urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. If at all possible, avoid travel in the Cottonwood and Verde Village area this morning and pay heed to any road closure signs. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Verde Village, Bridgeport and Cottonwood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into areas where water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep vehicles off the road. When encountering flooded roads, make the smart choice: turn around, don't drown. & LAT...LON 3472 11196 3469 11197 3468 11199 3467 11202 3470 11205 3473 11204 3474 11203 3475 11198 $$ More
