6-year-old donates stuffed animals to hurricane victims

There are a lot of kind people doing whatever they can for hurricane victims -- That includes 6-year-old Jenna Peltier.

After Hurricane Irma had passed, she and her family were returning to their Savannah, Georgia home when she heard something on the radio that she didn't like. She learned there were thousands of people left homeless from Hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Jenna was immediately worried about the children who might be sad or lonely. The best way to cure that in her opinion? Stuffed animals.

As reported by, Jenna started by selecting 16 of her fluffy friends (although there was no way she could part with Emma, the bunny). But with so many children affected by the hurricanes, she needed a few more. So her mother, Christina, created a Facebook page for Jenna's toy drive, and people all over the country are sending plush friends along for the cause.

Thanks to Jenna, some kids will be getting some much needed hugs.

Christina wrote on Facebook, "We were over-whelmed with the response we received this past weekend! We cannot thank everyone enough who came out, donated, and helped Jenna get a step closer to helping out boys and girls everywhere! Jenna is very excited about all of the animals she now has to choose from to give to everyone!"

Watch the video to see how Jenna is doing her part.
