The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of southwest Montana, including the southern portions
of Beaverhead, Gallatin, and Madison Counties.
* through late tonight.
* Significant rainfall and snowmelt are likely overnight. However,
snow levels of near 8000 feet Thursday afternoon and evening
will fall mostly to valley floor level by early Friday morning
as precipitation decreases.
* The combination of snowmelt and rainfall could cause excessive
runoff and the potential for flooding. Travel could become
difficult on unpaved roads. In addition, there will be an
increased risk of water seeping into basements.
