A man was shot by police in the Collin County town of Josephine after showing up to city hall with a rifle.Police received word Thursday afternoon around 4:10 p.m. that a man involved in a disturbance at city hall earlier in the week was returning to city hall. When the suspect arrived with a rifle, police say they told him to put his gun down. When he ignored officers' commands, two officers fired their weapons. The suspect was rushed to the hospital in serious condition. The number of law enforcement officials has remained steady at the scene. Investigators focused on the front corner of city hall. SKY 4 video shows a pickup truck and a public works truck out front of city hall. A rifle could also be seen lying on the ground. Neighbors say they heard 8-10 loud shots. A former mayor says police and fire are in the same area as city hall. He said officers likely wouldn't have been at city hall if there was an incident but close by. There are a lot of unanswered questions that neighbors are eager to learn the answers to. "We were just sitting in the house and heard pow!" one witness said. "And then we looked up and all the cops were here." "I kept getting messages from our school saying buses are not running right now due to a situation in Josephine," said Vicky Clary. Deputies were at a house not far from city hall and placed crime tape up, but they wouldn't say how or if it was connected to the investigation. Texas Rangers are involved in the investigation. No officers or city employees were injured. Josephine is located in eastern Collin County with a population of about 800. More

Outdoor allergies are dreaded, though often expected in the spring months due to continuously blossoming, pollinated plants. However, many of the symptoms that accompany spring allergies go hand in hand with the cooler, fall months and they aren’t a result of the common cold.
